Mentor Network Coordinator

The Mentor Network Coordinator (MNC) is responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting the volunteer mentors who work with WNL mentees. This role focuses on building a strong, well-equipped mentor network that can effectively guide mentees through goal-setting, resource navigation, and personal growth. The MNC ensures mentors are prepared, connected, and encouraged in their volunteer role. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and, in their absence, to the Board President and/or Executive Committee.


General Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for all WNL mentors.

Recruit and interview prospective mentors.

Conduct background checks and track all mentor requirements.

Coordinate and lead mentor training on an ongoing basis.

Schedule initial meetings between mentors and mentees.

Maintain up-to-date mentor files, training records, and compliance documentation.

Provide guidance and support to mentors in addressing challenges with mentees.

Collect and document feedback from mentors about mentee progress and needs.

Input mentor-related data into the charity tracker and mentor portal.

Organize mentor meetings, networking opportunities, and recognition activities.

Respond to mentor questions and requests promptly.

Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.


Professional Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or higher preferred.

Experience in volunteer coordination, training, or program management preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and database entry systems.

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to engage and inspire volunteers from diverse backgrounds.

Familiarity with Hancock County community resources is a plus.

Must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Reliable transportation required.
