Join our team as a CDL Class A Driver – Scrap Metal Hauler and play a key role in keeping Ohio's recycling industry moving. We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused driver to transport scrap metal using a variety of commercial vehicles. Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trailers, roll-off trucks, and other specialized hauling equipment.
• Transport scrap metal and recyclable materials to and from customer locations, suppliers, and processing facilities throughout Ohio.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is safe and roadworthy.
• Secure loads properly and safely load and unload materials using forklifts, loaders, or other equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS and dispatch instructions.
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, state, and company safety regulations and policies.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and yard personnel.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with other yard or transportation duties when needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Manual transmission endorsement is required.
• Clean driving record with the ability to meet DOT requirements.
• Experience operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trailers, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and Hours of Service requirements.
• Ability to safely secure and transport heavy scrap metal loads.
• Forklift or heavy equipment experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform occasional physical labor.
