Virtual Safety Council: Making it Safe to Talk About Safety

Virtual Safety Council: Making it Safe to Talk About Safety

Thursday, June 3, 2021 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Safety rules by themselves don’t keep people safe. Employees have to have the tools to feel safe enough to report unsafe situations and practices without fear of being judged or even ignored.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Teach employees how to speak up when they see a problem
  • Teach employees how to hold each other accountable for safety
  • Understand how to build a year-round culture of accountability

The Hancock County Safety Council is partially funded through the Ohio Department of Safety and Hygiene and holds regular meetings to increase awareness of a safe environment in the workplace. The Council meets the first Thursday of the month from 12pm. to 1 p.m.

Registration is $10.

24 hr. cancellation notice required.
