Lunch & Program : 12:00 pm 

Scott Lowry will discuss emergency preparedness from a whole community approach, with the discussion focusing on school safety in Hancock County, including:

  • How school safety is a community-wide responsibility
  • How a critical incident in our schools can affect your workflow and some business continuity considerations
  • Hoax 911 calls, “Swatting” of Active Shooter events, and their impact on the community

Hancock County Safety Council holds regular meetings to increase awareness of a safe environment in the workplace. Safety Council is partially funded through the Ohio Department of Safety and Hygiene and meets once a month to inform participants of new safety techniques, services, and provide a thorough knowledge of topics, including occupational safety and health, workers' compensation, and risk management education.
