Join FYP as we host Dr. Andy Hatton, Superintendent of Findlay City Schools, as we sit down together for a complimentary breakfast and discuss the issues and concerns facing Findlay City Schools, the Nov 2024 failed tax Levy, the repercussions of this vote, and the second attempt on the levy in the upcoming May elections. Members will be allowed to participate in a Q&A session to discuss their thoughts on Findlay’s school district and the proposed Tax Levy.

Attendees will be able to partake in the hotel’s full-buffet breakfast, including eggs, meat, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, waffles, various continental items, as well as juice and coffee.

This event is exclusive to FYP members. Registration will be capped at 20 attendees, and will close on April 23rd or when that cap is met. 

Speaker Bio: As of August 1, 2023, Dr. Hatton took charge of the Findlay City School district as its Superintendent. Dr. Hatton was chosen for his strong understanding of instructional practice, ability to effectively communication with the district’s stakeholders, and, mostly, his passion for serving the students and staff of the Findlay community, according to the Findlay BOE. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Ohio Wesleyan University, Dr. Hatton went to Ohio State University to receive a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration. He then got his Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Miami University. Dr. Hatton started his career as a middle school teacher with Columbus City Schools. He moved into leadership for the first time as the Principal of Dempsey Middle School in Delaware City Schools. After reaching tenure, Dr. Hatton became the Director of Curriculum for Dublin City Schools. He then finished up his time as the Associate Superintendent of Learning and Leadership for Upper Arlington City Schools before starting his current role.
