Sales Account Representative

GSW Manufacturing, Inc., an international manufacturer, and technology developer serving the automotive industry, is seeking a service-oriented and goal driven person for the role of Sales Account Representative based out of the GSW Headquarters in Findlay, Ohio.


Primary Function:

This position provides a candidate the unique opportunity to showcase our brand by displaying their energy and dedication to customer service through direct interaction with our customers and prospective customers. This position directly influences the achievement of sales objectives and customer satisfaction, as well as identifies new revenue opportunities. Traveling for in-person visits with customers and representing the organization with integrity, high ethical standards and professionalism are fundamental to this role . This role serves as a liaison between customers and the company by initiating and controlling requests for quotations and effectively communicating customer requirements.


Note: Travel is currently restricted due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The expectation of maintaining personal interaction with customers continues. The candidate must be able to meet with customers using online alternatives as the customer is able.

 

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Generate potential customers and opportunities.

Identify customer product development plans and potential business growth.

Provide market intelligence and recommend actions, particularly regarding the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.

Assist in obtaining/clarifying customer specific requirements.

Respond to customer inquiries and requests in timely manner and communicate information internally to other departments.

Conduct in-person visits with customers to negotiate pricing, tooling costs, project milestones/schedules, bill collection, and as needed, other company issues as required by management.

Prepare weekly and monthly itineraries for customer visits and objectives of each visit.

Distribute and file visit reports.

Negotiate and issue final phase out dates and dead stock issues with customers.

Negotiate final pricing and cost with Customers in courteous and professional manner.

Provide sales and budget forecasts for customers and notify department of changes.

Be knowledgeable and an active participant in the quotation process.

Create and maintain material component price lists for customers as needed.

Assist the Sales Department by completing RFQ’s for customers including completion of RFQ cover sheets, internal and customer quote forms.

Assist with ROI analysis.

Assist with Copper and yen adjustment paperwork.

Assist in RFQ meetings to monitor the status of RFQ’s.


Qualifications/Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong negotiation skills.

Ability to analyze data.

Good problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Assertiveness and self-confidence.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Proficient in MS Office; ability to develop and manipulate Excel spreadsheets at a high level.

Able to travel, internationally and domestically.
